Why Talk to Us?

Welcome to Free Counselling Services

"...life is not a rehearsal, seize the day..."

So, one day you realize that you keep feeling depressed, or stressed, and even angry, but you do not think that anything specific is wrong and you will feel better soon. But nothing seems to get better, and things may have even got worse, and now other people are commenting on how you are behaving. You feel that you should talk to someone, but you do not have the time and feel stupid about having to talk to someone about the way you feel. However, if you do not things may escalate, but if you do then it may turn out that there is something going on which can be easily dealt with.

Many people do not seek help because they do not believe they have a problem, so they carry on as normal. It may prove that there is no problem and that the issue goes as quickly as it arrived, but if there is a problem it may escalate further. If only help was sought out sooner. If only a person could contact someone who could help without having a long wait for an appointment, without being tied down to times and dates, or without having the feeling of embarrassment due to thinking that it might be a waist of time. Well you can, contact us. You do not even have to meet face-to-face, or talk to us on the phone, you can simply email or even text us.

If you have issues, feelings, and emotions which are affecting your daily life then contact us, even if it is only for information.

Our counselling is FREE and CONFIDENTIAL.

Work with us to develop your own skills to increase your self-confidence, and take back control of the way you feel about your life, and those around you.

There are a number of services provided for counselling, ranging from: face-to-face; phone; email; instant chat; video calling; and by text. We use a number of techniques, if needed, and offer assistance for various issues. Please see the 'Our Services' page. This is so counselling can be given to those who lead busy lives, and are restrained by work and family duties.

Simply take a tour of the website, and if you think we can help, and you think you may need help, then contact us.

We will get back to you as soon as possible.

There may be times when we will not be able get back to you as quickly as other times, but we will confirm that we have received your contact.

You can only gain by contacting us today.

The website also includes information and self-help guides, National health campaigns, emergency contacts, and is updated as often as possible.

How can our counselling help you?

Well, while it can be really helpful to talk to someone you know and trust, you may feel more comfortable confiding in someone who is removed from your personal situation and is therefore more objective. Also, having a set time and space to talk may help you to work through the issues concerning you.

You should consider talking to us if: you are feeling overwhelmed or depressed; you need someone to listen to you and help you work out what is important; an issue or situation is seriously affecting your day-to-day life; and you can not make important decisions and not sure what to do next.

We will help you question the way you look at things, the way you behave or react to situations or people, and help you develop new strategies to cope with situations. We will take the time to get to know you, develop an understanding of your circumstances, listening to what you have to say and offer support and insight. Our main aim will be to help you to help yourself, building your self-confidence.

The most important thing is whether we are right for you and your situation. So, our first conversation will allow us both to ask questions and ascertain if we can work together.

Confidentiality, your privacy, and anonymity will always be priority. This includes phone calls, text messages, emails, and video calling. Any face-to-face sessions will be of mutual decided times, and in a private, quiet, and relaxing setting. However, there may be times when a private location is not available, so an alternative would have to be discussed.

The only exceptions will be our blogs, forums, and social network sites where you will have to decide what you would like to disclose, and we can not be responsible for. But, of course, you do not need to say anything, or even view these.

We will always adhere to ethics. We will abide by the counsellor and client contract

From the start, we will make these promises:

  • to believe in you,

  • respect and allow you to work through your experiences and emotions,

  • be able to respectfully challenge your perceptions or position when it is necessary,

  • have faith in your ability to work through your problems,

  • allow you to make your own choices and respect your decisions,

  • be trustworthy and sensitive,

  • endeavour to provide you with the information you need,

  • be happy to discuss the issues surrounding confidentiality,

  • and, most importantly, to be professional in our conduct.

It must be noted that you do not have to make any commitment at any stage, and we will not be offended if you decide not to work with us. What is important is what is best for you.

You have the right to end counselling at any time.

We will attempt to work with you from start to finish.

If we can not help you, we will endeavour to put you in contact with someone who can, if that is what you wish.

Thank you, and we look forward to working with you.
